The Caroline Walker Trust was founded in 1988 after the death of the distinguished nutritionist, writer and campaigner, Caroline Walker.
Established to continue her work and in her spirit, the CWT depends wholly on donations, legacies and project grants.
The work of the CWT is particularly targeted towards vulnerable groups and people who need special help. We produce nutritional and practical guidelines for both young and old.
Latest news from The Caroline Walker Trust
The Caroline Walker Trust is pleased to announce that the Annual Lecture and Awards will take place at Kensington Town Hall on Tuesday November 10th 2009, from 6.30pm-9.30pm. This year we are holding a joint event with The Food Commission and our speaker will be the food writer and historian Bee Wilson. Bee's talk will focus on the changing face of food fraud and is entitled Death in the Pot! Food Adulteration Past and Present.
Bee Wilson has written the Kitchen Thinker column in the Sunday Telegraph magazine since 2003 and was previously the food writer for the New Statesman magazine. Bee has twice been named Guild of Food Writers Food journalist of the year (in 2004 and 2008) and was also awarded the Radio 4 food writer of the year in 2002. She is the author of two books: The Hive: the Story of the Honeybee and Us (2004) and Swindled: the Dark Story of the Food Cheats (2009, shortlisted for the Andre Simon prize).
