It grows well in wet soils to average moisture soils and tolerates fairly dry soils

Our original 1998 seed collection from a mowed highway right of way in NC's Pender County, has been a star in our dry, full sun gravel rock garden for the last few decades. For us, flowering begins in late March, and continues through most of the summer.
