Kathy Lewis – Vice-Chair/Acting Chair

Kathy Lewis has served on several charity boards, along with working as a Management Consultant and Consultant Nutritionist for over 30 years. As an author, she has written a number of publications and a variety of articles in consumer publications and professional journals, with guest media appearances.  Kathy holds several relevant degrees, in Human Nutrition and Food Science (BCApSc), Applied Psychology and Health Promotion (MSc) and Business Administration (MBA).  As a Registered Nutritionist, her main areas of expertise cover catering, executive wellbeing, travel nutrition, and children.

Carly Atkinson RD

Carly is a registered Dietitian. She has a BSc in Nutrition/Dietetics and an MSc Advanced Dietetic Practice. Her career has centred around supporting people with mental ill-health and learning disabilities, including work in the NHS, private practice and guest lecturing. She is currently on secondment working with Health Education England as the Allied Health Professional Clinical Fellow for Mental Health, Learning Disabilities and Autism in the South West region.

Kathryn Styles

Kathryn is a Registered Nutritionist with an interest in regulatory affairs and holds a BSc in Nutrition from Kings College London. She works with companies assisting on their nutrition communications and advises on compliance with EU Nutrition and Health Claims Regulations. She also has experience supporting schools, caterers and manufacturers with school food compliance.

Dr Rana Conway

Rana has been a Registered Nutritionist for more than 25 years. As a Research Fellow at University College London she is involved in a range of projects focusing on obesity policy, cancer risk reduction and childhood diet. Rana is passionate about providing practical evidence- based advice and has written several books about healthy eating for pregnancy and the early years.

Rebecca Stevens

Rebecca is an Associate Nutritionist (ANutr) with an MSc in Human Nutrition (Distinction) from St Mary’s University. Her interests include female, and family nutrition during key life stages and her MSc research focusing on postnatal nutrition was recently published in Nutrition Bulletin. Rebecca works as a freelance nutritionist and also supports Veg Power, the not-for-profit, to increase the UK’s vegetable consumption. Before completing her MSc she spent 10+ years in the world of healthcare PR.

Nourhan Barakat

Nourhan is a Registered Associate Nutritionist (ANutr-MSc) with a background in pharmacy and has experience working in the food industry, delivering health promotion talks in schools and nutrition charities. Her special interests are in public health, health promotion and food industry.  She is a volunteer member of the World’s Healthiest Afternoon Tea Committee at The Caroline Walker Trust and contributes regularly to resource innovation and policy, along with undertaking recipe development, analysis and writing copy.

Francesca Straniero

Francesca is an Italian nutritionist registered with the AfN as a Registered Associate Nutritionist, who has recently completed a master’s degree in Human Nutrition (Sports Nutrition) in London.  Francesca is a member of the World’s Healthiest Afternoon Tea Committee at the Caroline Walker Trust where she regularly contributes to policy, resource development, along with her nutrition expertise in recipes and food analysis.
